Rules
Submissions for the Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival (FIFIB) are now open. The 12th edition will be held from 9-15 October, 2024.
CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION
Submission deadline: June 14, 2024
- Films must be submitted via this link,
- Films whose language is not French or English must be submitted with English or French subtitles,
- Films should not have been distributed in France or online before the festival dates,
- The registration fee is 25 euros for the feature films selection, 7 euros for the Contrebande and short-films selection.
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
The International Competition consists of feature-length films of all nationalities.
Entries must -
- Be at least 60 minutes long,
- Have been produced in 2023 or 2024,
- We do not accept films screened before the Venice Film Festival (September 2023),
- In our selection process, we favor films which have rarely been shown in France and the regional Premieres.
FRENCH SHORT FILMS COMPETITION
The French Short Films Competition consists of shorts directed by French directors or produced by French production companies.
Entries must -
- Have a duration of less than or equal to 30 minutes
- Have been produced in 2022 or 2023,
- In our selection process, we favor films which have rarely been shown in France.
- We do not accept short films screened in festivals before 2022.
CONTREBANDE
The Contrebande selection consists of films with no set time limit from french-speaking countries.
Entries –
- Should not have received regional, film school or CNC production support (except those which received post-production or residency support). Films which were produced with materials from a film school but outside the course are eligible.
The terms of support will be announced at the time of the invitations to the selected films.
