The programmer’s eye
As light as an ocean breeze, “Amour Ocean” is going to capture your heart, offering a young and carefree look at emerging desire and sisterly bond. Through its characters, the film offers a deconstruction of genres, putting in tension the father’s hyper-masculinity, Jeanne’s uninhibited femininity and the mystery surrounding the character of the surfer. A sweet melancholy settles in as summer comes to an end, and Jeanne gets to discovers herself, her desires and the other’s body.
