Official synopsis
“Before Tim” is the shattered portrait of a love story seen through VCR videos shot by the protagonists themselves. After several short films in which he already explored memory, Alexis Diop continues to navigate its borders by inventing the genesis of a child who witnesses the love between his parents crumble.
Biography and Filmography
Alexis Diop studied Film Theory at Paris 3 - Sorbonne Nouvelle University. After two short films (“Automat-ique” and “Déjà vu”), Alexis worked on the “Against the Wall” project in 2016. Additionally, he works for production companies such as entre2prises and Les Films du Bal, collaborating with filmmakers such as Mati Diop, Bertrand Bonello and Nadav Lapid.
