The programmer’s eye
Born in Rome, Phaim is the son of Bangladeshi immigrants. He embraces both his Italian and Bangladeshi cultures with slight confusion until he meets Asia, a blue-haired girl. Phaim Bhuiyan acted, co-wrote and directed this debut comedy in the pure Italian tradition.
Biography and Filmography
Phaim Bhuiyan (1995, Italy) is from a Bangladeshi family and studies Video Design and Film at the Istituto Europeo di Design. He worked as an assistant director on several films and has directed music videos and an episode of the Italian TV series “Yoroi” (2017). His first feature film, “Bangla”, had its world premiere at IFFR 2019.
