Official synopsis

After breaking up with Boris, Lara returns to her hometown Barcelona. There, her friends, lovers and the Catalan traditions of the “castells” (human towers) will change her dreams and desires.

The programmer’s eye

The separation between Lara and Boris takes places at the heart of a sensitive and respectful epistolary relationship, and is representative of the subtlety found in Castells. The film tackles the search for contrast in the path of a young woman in search of her own desire. In this first produced short film, breaking up with someone consists in better finding oneself in order to rise to the top of one's own human tower, in the image of the Catalan tradition of "castells", which the film invites us to discover. Actress Carla Linares radiates a majestic desire.
