Lola is a jet-setting business consultant and an accomplished woman. Her steady life suddenly gives way when her relations with her sister Connie, who’s cloistered in a psychiatric hospital, spin out of control. The film then turns into a thriller with a psychological twist.
Biography and Filmography
Marie Kreutzer was born in Graz, Austria, in 1977. After studying at the Film Academy in Vienna and working on cinema and TV productions, she directed several award-winning short films. Her debut feature, “Die Vaterlosen”, screened and won awards at numerous festivals including Berlin. It was followed by the feature films “Gruber geht” and “Was hat uns bloß so ruiniert” as well as a TV film. “The Ground Beneath My Feet” (2019) is her fourth feature-length film.
