Official synopsis

Without hesitating, Diane agreed to carry the child of her best friends, Thomas and Jacques. Yet, in these not-so-ideal circumstances, she falls in love with Fabrizio.

The programmer’s eye

As Diane's (brilliant Clotilde Hesme) belly gets bigger, the comedy gradually turns into an exciting reflection on relationships and parenthood in their new forms. The strength of Fabien Gorgeart's film is to focus on the story of this pregnancy without judgment, never making it a film about a specific subject. Via a sober and solar staging, the audience follows the characters and discovers how to create a family in a different way. Indeed, “Diane Has the Right Shape” is also a film about friendship – this facet of a different love that is often forgotten in the representations offered by cinema.
