Official synopsis

Houston, Texas. A hurricane is coming, ready to devour people and dreams alike. Alex, a rapper and ex-gang leader, walks along the walls to avoid retaliation and to peacefully bury her best friend. Will and Nate, wandering souls of wealthy neighborhoods, struggle with their addictions and family demons. From this moist hell their symphony bursts out.

The programmer’s eye

It feels like the end of the world is about to come in “Ghost Song”. Houston seems to be the scene of a Greek tragedy, crushed by its ghettos, ghosts and beliefs. Violence is found on every street corner, at the exit of gas stations, in the lyrics of a rap song or in the excessive assertion of an American identity. It’s also in the hurricane everyone is expecting: on TV and in the sky that is pierced with lightning. Yet, as in any apocalypse, light eventually emerges, that of redemption and forgiveness.
