Official synopsis

Leslie, a young and idle suburbanite, drags his best friend Fox into a shady scheme across suburban Paris. On a construction site for the future metro line of the Grand Paris, they discover a mysterious artefact. Another opportunity to make a little money... But along their journey, the Parisian suburbs become the scene of strange phenomena.

The programmer’s eye

All the apparent simplicity of “Grand Paris” actually showcases its most delightful qualities. Leslie and Renard explore a pastel-coloured Greater Paris, like two cartoon characters. They make up an ambitious film around bodies, with the real personalities of the actors blending with the fantasies of a humorous script. “Grand Paris” explores its themes with floating ease: the gentrification of the metropolis, male loneliness, love and boredom in the suburbs, alien conspiracy... It's funny and comforting like candy.
