Official synopsis
On the ferry to Bastia, a man with a cigarillo looks at a tall woman perched on heels. The Man with The Cigarillo is going to speculate throughout the journey that will go on board the Trinichellu. He goes through miles across Corsica to get to know her, understand her... and maybe even help her.
The programmer’s eye
A film directed and performed by actress Manon Kneusé, “High Speed” has the endearing freshness of first cinematic gestures. Suzanne is a young girl in a woman's body, on her way to meet up with her married lover in Corsica. A stranger follows her, carried away like us by that tall character whose body offers burlesque elasticity. The fantasy of their encounter (or is it a dream?) leads to a reflection on oneself. At the end stands the melancholy of mourning, yet also the restless excitement brought by new beginnings.

Trained at the CNSAD, Manon Kneusé is an actress. She starred in the films of Nadège Loiseau, Manu Payet and Patrice Leconte. “High Speed” is her first short film. She's currently developing a feature film with her producer, Emma Javaux.
