Official synopsis
Jordan and Patrick, 14, live in a small country village. They kill their boredom in front of “Call Of Duty”, broadcasting their frantic games in front of a few rare Korean spectators. But one day, Jessica – their PlayStation 4 – gives up the ghost. To redeem a console, they let their audience think that Jordan is suffering from an illness and set up an online kitty.

A teen movie about young people who grew up playing video games and the potential they allow, this brilliant comedy reveals the style of one of the directors of “Willy the 1st” (2016) by reinvigorating a genre, with mischief and cult phrases. “JUNIORS” brilliantly works on the trajectory of two friends who could do anything to escape their “looserness”, until they invent a big lie and make cancer an argument to gain money and popularity. The film plays with limits, shattering the decorum traditionally accepted in the face of those who suffer. An impertinent, lively and totally LOL film.

Biography and Filmography
After training as a lawyer, Hugo Thomas left everything and went to Paris to pursue his dreams of cinema at the École de la Cité. His encounter with screenwriter Marielle Gautier and the Boukherma brothers, who often attended the FIFIB, gave rise to several short films and to a praised debut feature, “Willy the 1st” (2016). “JUNIORS” (2022), his first solo film, delves, through the teen movie genre, into the theme of isolation in peripheral France and shows characters who are ready to do anything to leave it.
