Official synopsis
Originally from São Miguel, an island marked by religion and tradition, Ana questions – through exhilarating friendships – the world that is promised to her. The reunion with her friend Cloé, as well as the emulation brought by the local queer community, set her on a journey that will take her beyond the horizon.
The programmer’s eye
Ana and Luis, two teenagers, live in São Miguel, an island lost in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The horizon offered by the queer community they evolve in gives them a glimpse of a future relieved of the patriarchal smell that permeates their land. “Wolf & Dog” nestles in the arms of loving mothers and in the freedom displayed by its characters. Director Cláudia Varejão creates a setting exposed to the rays of the sun and to the brilliance of the main actor and actress, Ana Cabral and Ruben Pimenta.

Biography and Filmography
Cláudia Varejão was born in Porto and studied in the Creativity and Artistic Creation Program of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and at the São Paulo International Film Academy. She also studied photography at AR.CO in Lisbon. She wrote the trilogy of short films “Fim-de-Semana” (2007), “Um Dia Frio” (2010) and “Luz da Manhã” (2012). “Ama-san” (2016), her first feature film, received dozens of awards around the world.
