Official synopsis
Set in a dystopian world, a young girl runs for her life while cameras broadcast the action. A declaration of love to the memories shaping our dreams.

In Kajika Aki Ferrazzini’s refined universe, with soft contours and beautifully flashy hues, one witnesses a skillful alternation of rhythms. Like in “Battle Royale”, where manhunting offers entertainment, the film sits alongside its little heroine, whose courage mingles with despair in the face of a world that feasts on cruelty. “Mom” finds its strength in the memories of perfect love that warm the heroine's chest and concentrate all her hope, like a last sign of humanity. — Laura Pertuy
Biography and Filmography
Kajika Aki Ferrazzini left Reunion Island aged 18 to study at the Estienne School of Applied Arts. She then joined the Gobelins School of Visual Arts. She decided to drop out in order to focus on the creation of her first animated short film, “MOM”. She worked on her own more than a year. “MOM” had its World Premiere at Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2021, as part of the official competition.
