Official synopsis
A monsters gallery, musical parades, an abyss of mystified time and space, a convulsed circus of seasons, this filmic exploration immerses the audience into a very distant world, where Basque mythology makes its way into timeless landscapes, where customs and beliefs converge towards a carnivalesque ritual that symbolizes the cycle of time.
Biography and Filmography
Giulia Grossmann was born in Paris in 1984. She studied visual arts and anthropology. Her research takes an ethnographic look at quests for utopias and myths appropriation phenomenons. Her films play with the permeable border between fiction and documentary. Since her first short film, “Native American”, rewarded with the Inrocks lab video creation prize in 2012, her work has been exhibited in art centers, galleries and museums as well as in festivals in France and abroad.
