Official synopsis

When he’s not working at the factory, Lalo takes nude photos of himself for his thousands of followers. Following an audition, this Argentinian “sex-influencer” gets to play Emiliano Zapata in a porn film about the Mexican Revolution. Yet, when he’s back doing his daily tasks, Lalo seems to experience constant melancholy.

The programmer’s eye

Right from the opening scene, we’re plunged into Lalo's dark and deep gaze. And we’re only set free after having served as the mirror of this man who looks at himself and observes us at the same time. In this game of mirrors and gazes, director Manuel Abramovich films Lalo who films himself on social networks as he takes part in a porn film shooting... where he is also filmed. Through that shooting which questions abuse of power, the director (of the porn film) willingly quotes Buñuel's “That Obscure Object of Desire” and asks Lalo to “fuck” himself during sexual intercourse with an actor in his own role. Who fucks whom? That is the question.
