Official synopsis
It's winter. Sami is interned in a psychiatric institution. On a visit day, his mother and sister tell him their horse died.
The programmer’s eye
By offering his character the possibility of a journey on a resuscitated horse, Vincent Tricon reflects on madness and its contours. This graceful staging of an escape from reality tackles those who don’t yet believe in the power of fiction, leading the audience towards a climax. There, at the top, the others are those who must be healed. And as reality returns, the possibility of being different will survive. Thank you, Sami. — Natacha Seweryn
Biography and Filmography
Vincent Tricon, born in 1985 in Evry, grew up in the South. He joined the editing department of la Fémis in 2007, then was nominated for the César for Best Editing in 2016. “Sami la Fugue” is his fourth collaboration with Barney Production.
