School teacher Frank Ripploh falls in love with Bernd. The pair faces the social pressure associated with traditional couples, where each person is faithful to their tasks. But Frank can't help seducing new men...
The programmer’s eye
The title of the film basically translates into "A taxi to the shithouse", and it actually is quite accurate. Frank Ripploh – a second fiffle of German gay cinema – films his own body and that of his friends like a series of porn vignettes. With its legs spread wide apart, this first feature is entirely directed towards the documentation of the intimate sphere, one that resides as much in the usual quarters of affective life as in its ghettos, in a consultation with the proctologist or through a "glory hole" in a public toilet. And which implicitly asserts tenderness as the only possible radicality.
