Official synopsis
Both a visual and narrative experiment, this short film mimics the sensual perception triggered by the story of a queen struggling against imaginary persecution... yet maybe viewers can develop a feeling of their own from that very story. After studying cinema in Tehran and at Le Fresnoy, Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi is currently developing his first feature film, which was selected at La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde (a Cannes Film Festival initiative) in 2018.
Biography and Filmography
Emad Aleebrahim Dehkordi was born in Tehran in 1979. After pursuing cinema studies at the University of Tehran and Fresnoy, he directed a few short movies, among which “Lower Heaven”, which was screened at the FIFIB in 2017. He was selected by La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde at Cannes Festival for his first feature-length film, “Chevalier Noir”, in 2018.
