In the Pyrenees, a wolf is sowing terror among sheep farmers. That’s where Teddy, 19, a clerk in a massage parlor, lives. On a full moon night, he gets scratched by a mysterious creature… Revealed with “Willy the 1st” – which they codirected with Marielle Gautier and Hugo P. Thomas – the Boukherma brothers stand as Bruno Dumont and Julia Ducournau’s terrible children! As they’re fantastic literature and cinema connoisseurs, it’s no surprise “Teddy” is a delightful, funny and quirky monster film set in rural France.
Biography and Filmography
In 2016, at the age of 23, twin brothers Ludovic Boukherma and Zoran Boukherma co-directed their first feature film, “Willy the 1st”, with Marielle Gautier and Hugo Thomas. It was selected at ACID in Cannes and won the d’Ornano-Valenti Award for Best French First Film. “Teddy” is their second feature film and their first one just together.
