Official synopsis

This first short fiction film by Justine Triet tells the story of an encounter between “two solitudes” in a city at night. When, at last, the light no longer comes from the street lamps but from the spark of proximity provided by the other. The director offers her two actors a score of lively and joyful melancholy, from which escapes a reflection on the contemporary loneliness of cities, which was to be the focus of her following films. “Two Ships” marks the start of her collaboration with Laetitia Dosch before their sublime composition in “Age of Panic”.
