Official synopsis

After another sleepless night of partying and getting high, Jordane goes back home and confronts her little sister Chléo who’s anxious about a strange water shortage. Quickly realizing that the lack of water is affecting the entire city, Jordane faces her worst nightmare and embarks on a crazy trip around Marseille to quench their thirst.

The programmer’s eye

An ecological tale on acid or a hyperpop dystopia, “Dry Trip” is a frantic race against time. Through its form, this thirsty epic recreates a feeling of extreme urgency. Distortions in the image, bright colours and virtuoso camera movements: everything is done to reify a hallucinating and breathless spirit on the screen. Through its youth, its references and the density of its thematic, “Dry Trip” appears as a singular and new cinema experience. A very promising first produced short film for its director Théo Laglisse.
