Maïko is Tommy’s holographic girlfriend. Her love for him knows no boundaries. Yet when Tommy leaves her for another girl, a real one, Maïko experiences intense new feelings and discovers the taste of her tears… A dive into the near future: smart objects access conscious life and the living suffer from planned obsolescence. The need to treat one’s fantasies with care emerges.
Biography and Filmography
After studying Art history and film editing at La Fémis (Paris), William Laboury directed short films (“Hotaru”, “Play Dead” and “A thing of the Mind”) and music videos. He likes to work with all kinds of images, from CGI to found footage in order to deal with love, virtuality or magic.
