Official synopsis

A contemporary artist trained in Le Fresnoy, Bertrand Dezoteux is interested in digital imagery and what the latter reveals about our world and its artefacts. Keeping with this idea, “Zootrope” creates a heterogeneous visual world full of digital characters, photographs and filmed animals. It revolves around the figure of horses and what remains of it today, since the chronophotographs of Etienne-Jules Marey. The film explores yet another way of telling a story: through our perceptions.
